Comparing Z Scores: Who Did Relatively Better?

In this video we compare two dogs running speeds to determine which dog did relatively better. Using the mean, standard deviation, and the x value (cut off) we can calculate a z-score and use it to determine which dog ran faster relative to its breed.

Z-score standardize observations and allow us to compare anything that is Normally distributed.

There is a question that says, "Which person is ranked as the most skilled in martial arts and which is ranked as the least skilled n martial arts". does that mean the highest z score is the most skilled? and the lowest z score is the least skilled?

unkown
