Nikon is going to sell a lot of these. If Fuji can get $2K from people for an APS-C retro styled body this is a no brainer for Nikon. Especially with the improved AF, articulating screen and dual card slots. In competent hands, this camera can be a workhorse for sure.

As a Nikon Z6 II owner you were absolutely right about the Z6 III part, like they gave this the Expeed 7… in combination with higher fps, better screen rotation system. A retro looking camera that outperforms my Z6 II. On the other hand this gets me hyped for the upcoming Z6 III!

It’s so obvious this guy hates Nikon so much and tries to find issues even if there are none. That’s why I watch it if there’s a real issue he will find it to burn Nikon down. Now I know it’s an awesome camera 😂 thank you

This looks awesome. Why does canon have to make their cameras look like they were designed by the same guy who designed the 1997 Ford Taurus...

I like this simply because I started my career as a commercial photographer using a Nikon F.

This gonna sell damn well. Nikon is killing it lately. Z8 and Z9 are outstanding and now. Well done Nikon.

I would use this for street. Not so much with a 70-200. That's where the grip issue comes in with a huge lens like this.

Here's another angle: I love the tactile experience of my Nikon film cameras and I do think they're cool and just a little easier to hang around the neck and go (large lens notwithstanding) and I've been waiting for a proper digital full frame camera in this form factor for my entire time as photographer. And it's brilliant! So yes, I'll be buying one to replace my Z5 as my backup/travel camera

Fuji has proven the retro styling cameras sell and that is why Nikon created this and released it before the Z6 III (IMO) so that new camera wouldn't eat into the Z8 sales.

Current Nikon Z fc owner here. Nikon is going to crush it with this camera, and I absolutely cannot wait to try it out. I don't agree that having dials is just for the "cool" factor. I sometimes like using old lenses in full manual, and being able to manage shutter/ISO just as I would adjust lens focus and aperture with chunky tactile controls feels totally natural.

This seems like a wonderful camera. Not every photographer needs god tier AF and super high end specs to get the results they want. It’s funny in how specs keep getting better and better, eventually things like the camera’s appearance matters more; after a certain point these cameras are nearly perfect with ludicrous horsepower…what’s left? How about this camera I’m carrying around all day looks nice? The Zf isn’t an utterly perfect camera but it sounds like a win for Nikon, and to get in the door for $2240 for the camera and a lens, I’m tempted to get one myself.

Overall I would say Nikon did a good job. The autofocus is getting better for sure. I've loved everything about Nikon cameras except the autofocus. It has me excited about the Z6-III (if it ever comes to reality). I think Nikon's build quality is wonderful feeling. I'm hoping I can "come home" to Nikon one day. I love my Canon, but the egos just don't feel right to me, and the menus are still confusing to me after one year living with one.

I agree with you, that this camera is not the choice of a working pro, but don‘t forget that for most people photography is not business, it is hobby and enthusiasm. Like some cars make no sense in terms of usability or cost, but they are fascinating people. If I where a Nikon shooter I would order this camera at once and hoping, that the Sigma i-Series lenses would become available for z-mount! The i-series and the Zf would be a perfect match…

Great to see they worked out this micro sd thing, lot of storage at cheap price and redundancy, in a small space. Amazing to see the Expeed 7 processor, better af and new great features. Great product overall Nikon 👏. Very HYPED for the Z6iii to update my beloved z6.

As a wedding / portrait photographer, this camera fits my style and branding while having the perfect specs as well. I didn't need 45mp to process, don't need a big heavy camera ( Been there done that with D4s ), works perfect as I already had and sold a ZDF to make sure I was going to be ok with the ergonomics. First impressions as I've shot around the house, is that it is perfect for my needs. I will be taking them out this weekend for a shoot. I don't think I will be disappointed. I just hope Lightroom supports the camera files!

Great addition to the lineup. This can appeal to people who like the feel of a Fuji but want full frame.

looks like the perfect second body / vacation camera for me.

Considering how the ZFC apparently sold bucket loads I'm assuming this is aimed at the Japanese market and younger people and college grads and such. There's definitely a market for it. Probably also parents that want something a little smaller, also looks like a great "date" camera. Something you walk out with put in a bag with a 35 1.8 or the 26 pancake and have fun with. It's basically chasing after the same low footprint crowd that the A7CII chases after. I'd buy one...easily actually.

Totally agree on the grip. Looks like a very nice walking-around or second camera.

I'm an old guy with a LOT of vintage lenses. I learned to shoot with a Yashica FX-2... this camera will feel so right in my hands. The fact that I can go "old school" and the dials will make me feel right at home... and put on some Z lenses that bring me to 2023... all in one camera. Yep... I'll buy one, and use it a LOT.
