Much like its stock sibling, the ENGL Amplifiers Ironball E606 SE dishes out some extreme heat and aggression, perfect for all forms of hard rock and metal. Join Sweetwater‘s Nick Bowcott for an in-depth look at all of this two-channel amp‘s impressive features, including a built-in noise gate, reverb and delay, a tube-buffered effects loop, and so much more. From cool and creamy crunch to cranium-smashing high gain, the Ironball SE does it all. Check it out!

The rhythm guitar part used for the intro of this video was captured directly using the Ironball SE‘s built-in Balanced IR output, with no external FX or re-EQing.

I had to stop and comment halfway through the video cuz this amp is freakin' wild. Crazy amount of features for a mini head.

A tour of an amazing piece of technology that is making its way to me as I type this. Nick’s engaging manner made for an enjoyable primer.

I love Nic Bowcott's reviews, and this little thing kicks!! The IR out is great for live direct to front of house.

Nick is awesome at doing reviews. I’ve always enjoyed Don and Mitch’s reviews, however Nick is doing great! Such an awesome jam packed featured amp! Imagine if there was a 100W head/combo for this. LOVE the sustain and feedback at 3:47, gave me chills.

Yeah, that's good but what about the Lynch guitar! Never seen one in the wild, but it's so good, reminds me of my youth

I’ve had one for almost six months, and it’s a little beast. It’s loud as fuck, heavy as fuck. Just fucking awesome. Buy one.

Anyone compare the the iron ball SE to the fireball 25? Thoughts

I have a wizard and Diezels . But I still love my original poweball . It’s got a slick processed sound to add to any mix to Mske it glow

So at 3:30 ish mark this is just the ENGL only w/o any pedal in front? No OD pedal at all? I seriously thought of pulling the trigger on buying one

Do you know if the circuit is the same as the regular Ironball that you also demoed? Only difference are the IR stuff and extra "features", but the actual "amp" will sound the same?

I like tube amps. I absolutely do not like built in effects. I like foot pedals . . . . it's all laid out in front of you with selectivity that doesn't require using your fingers. I do so love knobs, not menus.

Nick, is this head or the Fireball 25 head have more gain?

That intro sounds horrendous. Like a tin can full of bees. Always make sure there is a cabinet IR in the signal. 🤦‍♂️
