Judge Cannon Snaps At Prosecutors Because She Doesn't Understand The Law
Показать описание
A very irate and confused Judge Aileen Cannon snapped at federal prosecutors multiple times in hearings this week, and it was all because she didn't seem to understand how things are supposed to work under the law. At one point, she snapped at a prosecutor for defending the funding of the special prosecutor's office - something that Cannon has no control or say over. At another point, she told a prosecutor she didn't like his tone while he was arguing that federal witnesses should have their identities shielded. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

During a series of hearings early this week, judge Eileen Cannon repeatedly got angry with the prosecutors in the case because she didn't like their tone. And the reason she didn't like their tone is because the prosecutors had to repeatedly explain to her how the law actually works, because this idiot doesn't seem to understand things. The first one that she got upset with was prosecutor James Pierce. And the reason she was getting upset with James Pearson yelled at him at one point, don't interrupt me, was because she literally asked him a question, right? And he responded and she responded by saying, don't interrupt me, even though she had asked him a question. But it was a question that had nothing to do with the case. It was a question about the funding of the special prosecutor's office. That is how off the rails this fricking hearing got, because Trump's lawyers were bringing up the fact that, hey, they're working with unlimited funds here.
Congress should do something. Which again, that's not up for Judge Cannon to decide. She doesn't even have the power to decide that, but that is where she allowed the hearing to go, and then asked the prosecutor a question about it, and then got off that he answered. And it didn't end there. After they took a recess, she came back, they started another hearing on another topic, and at that point, in a span of 20 minutes, she got on to prosecutor David Harbaugh twice chastises him for arguing that she should protect the identities of law enforcement officials tied to the Espionage Act violations, charges. In other words, this prosecutor, David Harbaugh was telling her, Hey, we've got classified documents, right? Uh, the classified documents have the names of individuals that are involved in, in secret missions, secret projects here with the government. Um, let's not release those people's names to the public, you know, because it could hurt the national security apparatus of the United States. Something that I'm pretty sure most people would agree with. Yeah, that would be a bad idea to expose all of these people, but Canon, oh God, no, Canon instead said, I don't appreciate your tone. And then she got onto him again saying that, uh, you know, if you can't meet the standard for decorum, then one of your colleagues can take up arguing this motion.
Then the prosecutor himself of course, got irritated because Canon said, can you explain how Donald Trump's rhetoric could end up, you know, endangering the witnesses if I, if I were to release their names? Like, can you cite a specific instance where Trump's rhetoric
Has been tied to a witness getting threats? I don't, I don't know. Open a newspaper. You dumb judge. Eileen Cannon is not just incompetent. She is dumb. A a and I, and I'm saying that it's obviously coming from a place of anger at this point, 'cause I'm getting tired of having to talk about this. But she is painfully, criminally stupid. And for the record, as we know, thanks to a New York Times report last week, that's not just coming from me, that's coming from the other judges down there in South Florida that begged her to give the case to a quote competent judge.
