Kamala Harris formally accepted the Democratic nomination for president with a speech that attacked Donald Trump as an "unserious man".

She told Americans to pick "freedom and fairness" over Trump in her keynote 45-minute address.

"The consequences of putting Donald Trump back in the White House are extremely serious," she warned.
