1 MINUTE AGO: Devastating New Details About Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan

Alan Wilder and Dave Gahan have been loved and celebrated for the music they have made together but the truth is there was much more to their relationship than what many of us are aware of.

We all know that they had great chemistry and the duo's presence was loved by fans but over the years many have speculated that the very happy and pleasant view we have about them as friends and band members might not be correct. Or at least not entirely.

Wilder should have got a writing credit on all songs after Black Celebration

The part about Dave and Alan
I can’t believe this is being said! Dave and Alan were actually really good friends while Alan was with Depeche Mode. In nearly all of Alan’s interviews, whenever he was asked about Dave, he consistently showed such affection and sympathy for him!
There are several instances of considerable confusion in this narration, particularly when it describes Andy and Fletch as if they were distinct individuals. In reality, Andy and Fletch are, in fact, the same person.
Any Depeche true fan would know this very well.

Dave and Alan were good friends. This is well documented. The problem was with Martin and Fletch not giving him credit and appreciation. There was no conflict between Alan and Dave. This is total garbage and this VO guy can't pronounce things correctly. He is taking bits and pieces of info and a lot of guesswork. Much is incorrect. The stuff about Fletch is most likely correct. He is correct that Alan should have been given co-writing credits with Martin.

Dave had him on probation. Through 4 albums. Actually 4 of their best musically. Violator being the most sold album to date.

I completely agree with my friend @Maxthemode, there are some very unfounded things said in this article. If the presenter thinks that Andy and Fletcher are two people, he will certainly also think that Martin and Gore are two people, Dava and Gahan are two other members of the band, and Alan and Wilder are two former members who were once part of Depeche Mode. My friend, please learn a little more about Depeche Mode before you start saying erroneous things about the band and its former members.

So Alan left because Depech Mode couldn't get the balance right?

Too bad Alan and the rest could not patch things up. Think Alan's touch and Get the Balance Right being the song that made me love this band. Never quite the same when he left. and don't think Alan ever topped the band professionally but I could be wrong.

Please with the mispronunciation of Dave's last name.

Music for the masses was produced mainly by Alan . Bascombe was more of an engineer. Lot of facts were hidden to make Andy looks good . They all lied about Andy being the glue and bull shit . The real glue was Daniel miller

Alan Wilder is easily on par as a programmer, engineer & producer as those few others, like Flood, Alan Moulder, Trent Reznor etc... But imo, he is very much the equal in sound & skills to Atticus Ross, & Atticus is nowadays Trent Reznors official other half & aspect of NIN or soundtrack work they do together, as a team effort. Depeche Mode lost Alan because the same kind of relationship & respect by a certain stage... Wasn't being accepted or respected. By the time he split, Flood had had enough of the tension & laziness of the lp production from most of the group too... & they lost his respect too. He won't work with DM anymore since then... & generally the group gets in a production team with their money nowadays, to do the work that Alan was the man on the job for in his time with DM.

...guess the two never really quite "get the balance right."

Wilder was a musician in a litteral way of speaking but they have been reckless on studio and on tour since 1981 and that´s exhausting. Creativity also runs out when that happens. In my opinion "It´s no good" is the last track sounding DM like.

Matter of fact...Once Alan left, Depeche Modes artistic downspiral began

This film seems to mix up band members with each other. Sometimes it's like they talk of Andy but mean Dave and vice versa. It's a bit confusing.

Critican tanto a la banda journey sin saber que es un problema común en todas las bandas, que i justos, así es después de tantos años de convivir Cira desde luego surgen algunos desacuerdos muchas veces fatales.
