I never got one, but I will admit, it got close a few times. For situations where I didn't want to wear say like an expensive watch like an Omega in London and be a target of mugging and wear something relatively carefree. Also I just simply liked how the Cambridge version looked, especially in rose gold on a preppy (Red, White & Blue) nato strap. I ended up getting a cheap Casio instead.

Daniel Wellington is the watch for social climbers and posers. I remember a friend explaining how she liked the watch solely because of its simplicity. I showed her multiple watches from other brands like Timex and Casio, that has literally the same design. She immediately said that those are "cheap" brands, and that DW cost more and are better. I asked why it is better and she said that because celebrities and influencers wear them. And there you go... hence the social climbers and posers.

Calling rolex omega and cartier rivals of daniel wellington feels absurd...dw is a fashion accessory brand which sold watches for 150$ while rolex and omega are swiss watchmakers selling watches for 1000s...it's not sensible comparing dw and rolex...though dw didn't offer quality for it's price, dw never wanted to be rolex
