I really don't know much about cars but im curious im at 40% can i add engine oil and will the percentage change? And if so when would i change the oil and fliter ? If that make sense

I got a new 23 accord ex 900 miles i check the oil smells like gas is that normal, and im confused with this orange dipsticks when i pull it out do i just keep it aide ways and or i keep it pointed down cuz when i do thay it showing no oil

Bro with the orange dipstick you’re checking to see if the two holes are filled. Not if it’s in between the two holes. You’re way off on how to check the level on these civics with the orange dip. Bad information dude. Please correct this process.
