Likewise here in the UK, AKG have always been a reliable choice - I've tried them all, Shure, Sennheiser etc. I've used AKG regular mics for studio recording over a 40 year period, and now with digital wireless units, its an obvious choice for reliability and quality.
Great review Doug, sensible and informative reporting without annoying background music. Many thanks!

THANK YOU THANK YOU DOUG!!
I’m gravitating closer to AKG, and getting away from the Shure & Sen. and your video gives a lot of info and clarification.soon all of my audio will be AKG. Even to using wireless AKG guitar transmitter.
I’m desperately in need of a question answered . Doug, the instrument wireless transmitter that you mentioned in your video is the way I want to go. My question is... do I need an separate system for everything mic’d? Can I have have a headset microphone and a guitar / MKG L CABLE signaling to 1 PT Body pack transmitter, at the same time? Or do I need separate frequencies What I’m trying to do, is work off of 1 SR45.?
I like the idea when I’m not singing I can switch over to the MKG L and go wireless guitar. I’m tring to eliminate 1 out of the 2 cable mess when rocking vocals and guitar. if I can knock out both by using one receiver and one PT45 that’ll be cool. I know I would save the trouble and purchase $100 instrument AKG but, if I can save a few bucks .... I’m in!
Thank you so much agin for all your videos.

Do you think it would be wise to find 2.4g system in 2020? Based on UHF freq being eliminated?
Thankyou for the video lesson.

Thanks for the informative video! I am wondering about the last thing you mentioned in the video - about battery-powering the receiver. I am contemplating buying an AKG sr45, which I want to be able to use indoors and possibly outdoors. Do I understand you correctly that you can use 12 v battery for this also? And, if so, could two receivers be hooked onto one single battery? Thanks!

It's been about 4 years since this video. I was wondering if your wms450 is still holding up. I am thinking of buying a 470 but concerned about durability.

I had a wms450 kit that I used but sadly the receiver broke, totally my fault by using the wrong power supply. I am looking for a used sr450 or anything that's band 1 portable or not, what do you think a fair price for one would be?

I have WMS470 two sets. One is Band7 and other is Band8. Can I use them in the same rack without issue.

Hey Doug,

I think, in the meantime, I've seen all of your video's and every time I'm learning something new! So thanks again. But in all of those video's I've never seen what type op audiodelay you use. I find it hard to delay the audio for livestreaming. Sometimes you just don't know where it goes wrong. Hardware? Streaming software? Youtube/Facebook. So: Do you have tips? And what delayer do you use? Looking forward to your next video!

Absolutely love my wired D7! Wanna buy wireless system, but I have a question... Is there any noticeable difference between WMS470 and WMS4500? (except the impossibility of changing the capsule)

Do you know if I can use a PT470 transmitter with a wms 450 receiver if in the same band?

Hey Doug, I'm about to purchase a new wireless microphone and would like to hear your opinion on Sennheiser (ew500) vs AKG WMS4500... Which one would be better in terms of sound quality and reliability. I've been using Sennheiser wireless EW500 for many years with great success but give the fact my newer Sennheiser D1 digital wireless system sounds so crystal clear (I can say identical to a wired version of the capsule I'm using in it) even more than the trusted EW500 which is analog, I'm just wondering how AKG wireless compete. Thanks!

Im currently using AKG IVM4500 and i absolutely LOVE IT! the only thing about it I've never understood is why sometimes I experience some dropout... RF and sound quality are absolutely insane, for real, the best sounding system of all... But still can't understand why I'm dealing with some occasional noise. My system is installed in an SKB small rack. When the system is out to
Of the skb rack the signal is flawless and perfect. Perfect is the word. Any ideas? Would highly appreciate your support on this.

Differences between the C5 and The D5? I know the C5 is Condenser and the D5 is Dynamic, which would be better for a church soloist or duet?
