a^2 - b^2 = a + b, если а и b соседние числа, т.е. а - b =1. 625 - 576 = 49 = 24 + 25.

Why are you doing this much computation
Because (a+b)(a-b) =49 clearly gives
a+b=49 & a-b=1
or a+b=-49 & a-b=-1
or a+b=1 & a-b=49
or a+b=-1 & a-b=-49
And thus we get
a=25 & b=24
or. a=-25 & b=-24
or. a=25 & b=-24
or. a=-25 & b= 24 respectively using addition and subtraction of the two linear equations in each case.
Note that the factorisation 49=7*7 will not yield any solution
