8 MISTAKES YOU MAKE WHEN SPEEDRUNNING DOORS

This video is a lot more heavily edited than what im used to, but i kinda like it. I hope to post more in the future.

What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. This video was very well layed out, and was incredibly to the point, which is absolutely wonderful, keep it up!!
However, As a Speedrunner of DOORS, and currently 11th place holder, There's some critique I do have to give about the advice you're giving out!

1. Drawer Checking - In almost all of my runs, checking the drawers that are along my path have been CRUCIAL in finding items, and lockpicks that could save time in my run. This advice is something that new players would think you should do, as they avoid every single thing unless they're searching for a key. Not checking drawers is only a good idea if the said drawer is too far away to bother checking, or if it's not in your direct line of travel. (However, your point on checking the big cupboards is good!)

2. This advice is probably useful late game past room 80, however, early in the game, you want as much guaranteed chance of getting items and lockpicks. Checking drawers in a key'd room regardless of if you hear it or not, as long as its close, is good, because while you may not find a key, you have a good chance at getting a lockpick to get out of the room, or other items that will help you progress quickly

3. Tip three is a good one!, It also makes it so that the door during a dark room is easier to find, as the door at the end should glow brightly

4. This is good advice to those playing in multiplayer, and for starters, but generally I would always recommend getting into a locker closer to the door instead of sitting in a safer spot further away from it. HOWEVER, your advice can be incredibly dangerous when it comes to Ambush, as it's attack radius is much MUCH larger

5. Halt's generally kill runs due to adding alot of time, but I would say for new runners or those who aren't going for WR to not worry about it!. This tip you offered is good. For those who want to save just a little extra time, my advice is, if you're fast, you can damage boost through Halt on his Third appearance in front of you. This however, will make your chances of getting items lower as they can now be replaced with bandages!

6.Good Tip!, I generally keep my roblox audio on 2, but my headset audio high!
7. This skip of running past the figure is only considered a minor glitch, which the speedrun verifiers have allowed!!

8. This one is just personal preference!, Do what you find is more comfortable!

This video is definitely something that can help new runners, and this vid is definitely more designed towards them, but for anyone who's more experienced, some of the rules here might not apply.

Another thing I see a few people do when I play when playing is waiting for a few seconds before exiting closets once Rush has left. Once you can't hear him or he's passed your closet, you should be completely fine. Also, a tip for once you've left a dark room is to really quickly turn around and look all around to see if Screech followed you out.

when seek ends just don't look back.
if your upstairs and the figure is near you (door 50) stand near the lock because that's were his usual ai doesn't go, it's really rare. use if necessary.
also on door 50 there's a safe spot in a corner near a locker where a way is blocked off if you need it so badly.
ambush could take a bit unless you go into the next 2 rooms and have no trouble. (could be fixed).
halt appears when lights flicker and there's no seek rush or ambush. could be usefull to know what's ahead.

Fun Fact: Running past the Figure on room 100 is classified as a minor bug and therefore is allowed in glitchless runs

Pretty well made video, gives some good beginner advice (I had no idea about the sound cues for books and keys!) However you did get some things wrong
1. While you shouldn't check every drawer, it's important to go for any that are convenient, drawers are really important for getting lighter early game or any lock picks and speed pills later on.
2. Walling past figure in level 100 isnt a glitch. I really dont know where you got this from, but I talked to a mod and it isn't true.
Glad people are uploading speedrun content, as a speedrunner myself it's cool to see others take interest into a hobby I spend a lot of time on.

fun fact: if eyes are there on level 75, it won’t be a courtyard, this happened to me specifically when level 75 was actually the second seek chase so my run had no courtyard

by the way, you can also turn graphics down when on level 50 as the books have a slightly more vibrant colour which makes them stand out

There are three methods for room 100
1 and 2, his methods
3, you run back into the room and go behind the standing debris/closet/obstacle, wait for figure to check the bed and then eat a vitamin and run upstairs

I would like to mention something.
When you said at floor 75 that there is a break room. That is actually false for 2 reasons:
It’s not always on floor 75
It sometimes doesn’t appear at all.

a bonus mistake: if you see eyes you don't need to turn around you can just look down instead
all mistakes i gotten:
in door 50 figure won't catch up to you if you got 1-4 books but be careful!
as rush coming you do not need to hide in a closet when a vent, bed. or any open spots rush don't come
(this is the copy of the 2nd mistake but i used ambush) if ambush is coming and your fingers sweat so much hide in a vent, bed, or open spots
never get squads, because this loses closets of rush going in
the mistakes when you lag:
seek gets so much quality, so if you lag, the doors delay, and the fire sometimes disappear
figure teleports when lag comes in your desktop, pc, or phone.
now glitches:
figure sometimes won't kill you if you walk outside while in the heart minigame
if you go in a corner when you are almost out of the seek room, you get to see seek going backwards and making the 4 rooms from earlier disappear
(BINGO, you found the tips on glitches, mistakes, and lag mistakes, that so cool that you see this!

Try to avoid these kind situations: Rush may attack 2 times if the room had a vent or a lock on the door, so make sure that rush is actually gone before u leave, and don't hide at the last second just in case of Jack appearing, u can prevent screech from appearing by just looking around at all times, when facing halt there's no need to turn around when the screen flashes, just go forward and backwards without rotating ur screen, figure has a path that he always walks in, memorize the path and try to stay away from it unless there's a book there, if u collected the first 4 codes but missing the 5th, don't look for the last book, try to guess the last code, it will save u more time and its less risky, when facing seek, remember to look both ways while u r moving so that u don't go the wrong way, u can go through eyes there's no need to turn around it, just make sure u r looking at it, when u r the doing the elevator power mini-game, make sure to open all the keys and close the ones that r meant to be off when it tells (u can do that or the regular way if u'd like)

Doors is the best horror game ever
It has checkpoints each 100th room, has 1000 rooms, 10 floors, etc...
This horror game will never get old in the future nor in the present.
