I have a Sony pocket radio as well, but it's the older one that came in a silver color, but yeah that one still works as beautifully as the day i bought it and i keep it around to listen to once in a while and in case i lose power where I live and I need to listen to news updates.

For less than $10 an XHData D-220 is excellent and even does shortwave.

When it have connect to speaker, pocket radio is better, lot better. Using two mono radio at same time, sound is awesome.

Get yourself a Sangean sr-35. You'll be blown away by how good that one is. I have the p27, its...eh. Usable with the speaker, unusuable with the headphones. But good reception. But i think the headphone jack is defective, so its goin back.

I have 2 of these radios. They’re pretty good radios. As a general rule of thumb, Sony are overpriced because you’re buying the name over the features. This is a no frills, bare bones AM/FM radio.

Fix a small bluetooth device inside the Sony radio to enable it to be used with any amplifier. No need for using the ear phone jack.
