Color matters very little imo and this is supported by fisheries biologists at least concerning esox species. 1. Location 2. Lure Size 3. Lure type 4. Speed of retrieve 5. Cadence 6. Color. Color may give the angler confidence and that certainly changes things.

Normally color isn't a big factor for me. Usually it's contrast that matters more, which I think is a huge part of both Sunset Jailbird and the new Carbon Perch colors.
I did recently learn though that copper and gold are some of the easiest colors for muskies to be able to see, so I tested it with throwing White Tail Wisconsin Walleye pounders. Results speak for themselves, I haven't been skunked in any of my last 5 days fishing.
