Omg glad I watched this video I put it in her bowl and she didn't touch it then I did the paw and she licked it right up!

Decades ago I saw someone do this and they always put it on the underside of the paw because that really forces the cat to look it off and without licking off any more fur ( that they don't need ).
You just have to make sure they are in a room or a place where they won't if they move or run won't get it on let's say rugs or furniture for blankets so one lady did it on the cat on his paw while he was sitting in a clean dry bathtub ... we know someone else who always did it when he was in their little back porch which how to hardwood floor that was shellacked
