ABANDONED 1920’s Time Capsule - Everything Left Behind!!!

Join me as I explore an abandoned house in rural Georgia, a place frozen in time since 2003. This home once sheltered ten family members, including a hardworking car salesman struggling to make ends meet as local industries collapsed. The true heart of the home was the grandmother, Louise, who held the family together. After Louise's passing, the family's efforts to maintain the house fell short, leading to its eventual abandonment.

But the most intriguing part? They left everything behind—family photos, valuable possessions, even a 1970s Ford Mustang. Why did they leave so abruptly? What forced them to abandon all their belongings? Join me as we uncover the mystery and delve into the poignant story of a family uprooted by circumstance and loss.

This made me cry. I’m a memory hoarder, I could not imagine having to leave that all behind. I could not.

I'm not done watching yet but wanted to pause to comment. The fact that you are a musician is apparent here and I love when you pause to share your thoughts about what you are seeing. We are all connected through music. Art, through any form, opens cultural barriers if one will allow themselves to explore it. One of the reasons why I love your videos so much is because you aren't culturally mute. Your self awareness, along with your communication skills, lends to the wonder of what you will share with us next. As I get older, I understand why people leave everything. This house is sad but at the same time, acknowledging how much life can suck for people to come to these decisions is the empath in me. I hope you are OK. This video 'premiere' was outside your norm.

It seems like families drift apart when grandparents die. Thank you for another story.

I'm sure there's a German word for the way I feel when I watch these videos - it's a mixture of nostalgia and sadness over the loss of something and someone I've never known. I love the way you present these abandoned homes, Jeremy, with such emotion and care to the memories of the people whose imprint is left behind. I'm so glad I've found your channel! ❤

I do understand why homes like these are left abandoned with everything left behind. When my mother passed in a car accident, me and my brother were living at home with her and our stepfather. When she was gone, me and my late brother inherited the home and Dad moved away. We opted to stay here and remodel the house. My brother passed in a car accident 2 yrs after mom. The only reason I stayed is because I had friends and other family and couldn't bear the though of just throwing the families life away or selling out after all the time and effort we spent living here making a home. It's still my folks home but then again it's not. I've done some renovations to the house and added trees and other plants to the landscape. I've gotten married and made it my own home that's still the home of my late family and will always hold fond memories of family and love. That's why it's so heartbreaking to see a family broken apart by death...but I do sadly understand.

So much more substance and meaning to your explorations than other channels. I could sit and just listen to your commentary.

i have no idea who this family is but I feel a love towards them. They had lots of love flowing in their family and all the photo's show it. Jeremy, I really applaud you on the way you presented this showing of an abandoned home. You do these with a loving presentation in every one of your video's I have seen. I feel a little bit of sadness now for the family that lost their loving mother.

Another great video Jeremy, it's such a shame that this family's entire history has been left to decay but i love the respect you show to their belongings as you tell the story

The 80s & 90s, it was so common for us to have a wall full of posters in our rooms of our favorite music groups or actors we had crushes on lol I don’t know if teenagers do that anymore but, man, I can feel the nostalgia of my own teen years just watching this video

I like that you brought back your raw trademark exploration style. Although I also like your historical documentary storytelling with of certain explorations you’ve been doing lately, I enjoy this kind of exploration so much more! It’s hard to watch & enjoy other explorers after getting hooked on your work man! Love the ambient background soundtrack you pick. Almost a blend of nostalgic, deep space ambient & cyberpunk! Very soothing & intelligent. I especially love the tracks you picked in your older videos such as the ones from France. Nothing cheesy in your work. Very thought provoking experience for me. Would love to support you in any way I can. Thanks for what you do

Two of my favorite explorers together. What a sad story! I can’t imagine the loss they suffered. The decay probably started before they left-once the house was empty it didn’t take long for things to go bad. I love the detail you give to your explores. Makes it much more personal. Real people lived and loved in that house.
