Almost 20 years old with 125, 000 km on the odometer and this E55 still performs like a new car. Even the soundproofing at over 300 kmh is impressive, especially considering this is a car from 2004. W211 is still my favorite E-Class along with the W124. Great video!

One of my favorite things about the e55 is how quiet it is at very high speeds. The other similar cars I’ve owned make weird noises around 150. My c7 s6 made such a bad whistle you couldn’t drive over 160 without being miserable and my f80 also made a terrible noise at high speed. Sold my f80 for an e55 after owning one years ago and I’m so glad to have it back. Simply the best for a high speed cruiser imo.

E55 AMG is an excellent car. It is a 2004 model vehicle, but it performs as if it were new. It goes at speeds over 250 for minutes, but it doesn't even click, which is really impressive. In my opinion, the 55 AMG V8 engine is one of the most special and successful units produced by Mercedes.

Not sure what's more impressive, the power of that M113K or the German lane discipline! 😮 Here in South Africa, this would never work - everyone just sits in the overtaking lane. Just below the speed limit. All. Day. Long.

And the best part, with some cooling mods, exhaust and supercharger pulley you can add another 200hp to this! It really is one of the best cars ever made.
