EXTREME Marine Heatwave in the North Atlantic Ocean & North Sea

Показать описание
Many of us in the UK will have experienced a heatwave over the past few weeks, with hot sun and intermittent thunderstorms becoming a common occurrence but satellites have also observed something else.
Ocean temperatures around the UK and Ireland are over 9 degrees Fahrenheit or 5 degrees Celsius above long-term averages for this time of the year, sparking concerns on how this will affect marine life and weather patterns later in the year.
Scientists are noting the extreme conditions, it’s not often the sea around the United Kingdom has a problem with overheating but there is now serous concern regarding how it will affect the marine ecosystem, the fishing industry, local wind patterns and potential rainfall and flashflood event that may result.
