For those who are interested in dpr lore and the story behind the songs here are some highlights of what ian said in his last live about Saint and the upcoming Hybrid album:
(it will be difficult to understand if you are not familiar with the past albums, that means with Mito and Insanity lores. )

-Hybrid is a separate entity and we haven't seen the Hybrid yet. We just had a version of ian influenced by Hybrid. This is the version we saw in Limbo and now in Saint. Saint and limbo are in the Hybrid album therefore in the Hybrid universe.

-Hybrid is kinda an ancient god. The ruler of the other side but not the originator. It's like an uninvited god who took over the other side ( before it was unclosed?) . Hybrid resides in the "void" which is somewhere locked away in the other side. The only way to get in the void is via special key.

-In this world there are 8 moons. Each moon with a different phase. So there are 8 phases and 8 doors which coexist in the void. 8 different doors requires 8 different keys, that means each phase requires a task. One task is what we see in Saint mv. The sword. Sword holds more of a powerful tool that was built by certain past-ancient gods but it does not necessarily belong to anyone. It is almost a god killer and Hybrid sends ian to destroy or rather steal the sword. And we see "Saint" in this task.

-Saint and Limbo are in the middle part of the album storyline. Hybrid album will start with an opening where ian first encounters the Hybrid.Ian has no idea who the Hybrid is until he goes to the other side. Hybrid almost misleads him to itself. It is lying to ian and promises certain things. That why ian is going into this path blindly hence turns into Insanity later. Hybrid has an agenda and uses its powers to create you could say a messenger. It needs a successor and throught its successor it obtains a passage to escape to the other side and obtain complete control of the other side.

- In the beginning of the Saint mv, Mito is referring to someone ( to ian probably) And its possibly Mito, the guardian/ gate keeper of the other side; who put Hybrid in the void and this is why Mito might be so cautious, alert and very well informed about what is happening to ian.

-There is probably a certain relation with Mito and Hybrid in the past, before ian. So thats why Mito has an idea of what Hybrid is doing . Maybe because Mito was the first successor but resented the Hybrid. So the god that Mito resented and turned into a fallen is possibly Hybrid. (that statement was insane) 🤯

-In Saint mv the character we see in wings is Mito. But the character at the beginning we see carrying a sword is not Mito. ( its probably ian aka saint doing the mission for Hybrid or?) The one we see in red cape is Insanity. We see a glimpse into the past where we see Mito with the sword. He holds the sword via gloves.Because only through these gloves one can will the sword.

-Mito has the essence of Hybrid from the past. And insanity has now the essence of Hybrid as we see it presently. Once thee 8 phases are complete a new character "mr insanity" is unlocked.:)Every time ian ( or saint?) unlocks sthg he takes the essence of Hybrid. And what does true insanity look like? Manically crazy, almost expectantly dangerous, risky. In this case insanity becomes a god. We see peak versions of insanity during Saint. (the one we see with colorful glitters in the face is probably the up and up version of insanity-like a god)

-So Saint/ ian or aka future insanity goes to take the sword go to destroy it. But touching the sword, it gets a glimpse of previous owner which is Mito.

-There are significant colors for the characters. Mito's primary colors are red-black-white. Insanity's primary colors are yellow-violet-green. Hybrid's colors are red-blue-green(the "rgb") . Mito's red is and Insanity's green are the influences of Hybrid. Hybrid having these primary rgb colors and its the spectrum has the most power. Also, In the song "no bluberries" Ian asks "Tell me what is on yours eyes baby; red green or blue? that means who are you "Mito, Insanity or Hybrid?"

-The character with blue eyes is ian going down the road of turning into insanity. The blue is an influential color. When the eyes are blue that means Hybrid is taking over.

-In the saint mv Ian is holding a clock. The clock is a sign to how much time ian is given per phase. One full rotation meaning one full moon. Once the turn is complete it turns into an eclipse and then the next dimension opens. Its like he tries to stay alive during this full turn. In the last part of the song welcome to the other side its says "Two minutes left 'til midnight"; meaning its about to hit the full rotation. Again in the mv no bluberries, in the car park dpr live is looking to a hand watch and there was a clock turning around the blueberry monster. This is set in the future. This is where Mito, Live etc have a clash of universes.

people complaining about how lyrically it doesn't do any impact, song is too short yada yada yada. People who love IAN's works know that this type of song is made for the video. It feels like an interlude to connect the story. Even the lyrics fit to the lore. It's not everyone cup of tea, for us Dreamers, this totally breathtaking.

Dear Ian, team DPR,

After watching this mv (or movie I have to say) as well as Ian’s live from today, I wanted to leave you a message. Apologies if this ends up being long, but you deserve some of my time as a thank you for this masterpiece.

First of all, this music video is absolutely mind-blowingly phenomenal. From the aesthetics to the editing, to all the little bits and pieces that are so easy to miss yet so important to fully understand the lore. Lore that is so good, so interesting, so important too… it’s a work of art and it does exactly what art is supposed to do: make you want MORE of it.

It hits even harder having heard everything Ian had to say during his live. I think it’s fascinating, and I would absolute LOVE a lore book to truly understand everything there is to it. But hearing how much has gone into the entire backstory? I cannot tell you how impressive this is. There being ties to No Blueberries, which was released in 2021?! Wow. I think I’ll have to rewatch everything you’ve ever made to look for more clues!

As for the music… I love how dramatic and cinematic every song is, in particular the strings always make them so spine-chillingly good. There is no one else who creates a sound quite like this and I truly hope you know how incredibly special that is.

And lastly, Ian, I hope you know how big of an inspiration you are to people. I am always so grateful for your candidness, for the way you share your thoughts and do it so wonderfully. You are such a well-spoken man and clearly know yourself very deeply, and it makes all of us so fond of you. I have learned many things through you, all because of your kindness and your ability to put into words the most complex of human emotions. You don’t owe us anything, but you give us all of this; music, your story, and a lot of love, and I can only say I appreciate it more than you will ever truly know.

You are at the very top of my ‘to see live’ list and I hope with all my heart that I will get to watch you perform these masterpieces sometime soon. Wishing you all the happiness in the world, in whatever form that may be.
