For those confused, try looking at it like this: on the key of C, the chord he plays before going to D i.e. the tritone passing chord is an A dominant 7 chord without it bass (A on the left hand) and the chord before E minor is B dominant 7 chord without B/drop B in the left hand. The right hand for both the A and B chords can be seen as playing the augmented chord on your right hand but with a flattened 3 and A or B as the melody note/highest note. So you'd have "A dominant 7 on the left over A augumented on the right or A minor sharp 5/flat 13.
