Hey, steve. Ghosts dont have youtube, and i know that. I dont have a god yet. No pantheons yet, still developing and stuff.

But im not going to fucking facebook or reddit to vent about this, man. I never met you, and even though i would have lost my mind if i did, im happy i didnt. You were a human, just like everyone else. I could have talked about what your work ment to me, what i thought it ment to music, but you would have waved it away and thanked me and tried to change the subject.

You were what i think music is suppose to be. What punk and diy mean to the human soul and how we as artists should orient and display ourselves.

More than that, you changed the way i think about my love for art, how i think about the music im going to make.

I dont have to be serious and play chords correctly or write love songs or memorize scales and put choruses after verses, art is a world more than that.

I would have liked to have waved at you from across a restaurant maybe.

God i hope theres a heaven, steve. Your work ethic and charity and accomplishments showed me what a real man is, and what a real human is regardless of their problems.

Dude, incredible.

Man, WSOD has to be probably one of the best Shellac songs ever!
The production on this whole album was stellar, a true hi-fi delicacy.

The man died on top of his game.
