typical tourist trap. Bali, India, Thailand all do it. Ask a Tuk Tuk to go somewhere and you end up first shopping at spice shop, wood shop, jewellery shop, anywhere thet get a commission. Eventually you will get the hint to say No.

You should NEVER walk near tuktuk ever! Not only just it’s notorious (and worst, no thai people would use it unless we travel in a BIG group), it overpriced, full of scam and would target the foreign tourists 🤦🏽‍♀️ if you want to go anywhere that can’t access from public transport then use grab, line man or bolt

Tuktuk are literally just taxi but what is this american/western idea of everything in SEA are scams? If your tuktuk driver don't tell you where he's bringing you then ask, if you don't like it then they'll suggest another place for you to go plus tourists don't have to buy the suits and jewelry or any souvenirs if they don't want to. Nobody's gonna hold a gun to your head here. Having day tuktuk is such great idea guys! You'll have personal driver for the day!
