Sail Jellyfish (aka Velella Velella)

I find these little guys on the beach all the time. Sometimes they wash ashore by the thousands and are all over the place. This particular one was probably blown ashore by the recent winds. It's not actually a jellyfish but is technically a hydroid. Still, it functions the same. There are little tentacles on the bottom that catch prey. They are too small to harm humans, though.
