Man you helped me so much, I was embarrassed that I even had to google this. Your instruction is detailed and still solid and it stands out! 😅

I have done this since day one and it’s never failed me. Another pro tip, if you’re wearing normal shoes or a shoe with less rigidity to its sole, use the heel to push off, not the middle or it’ll hurt a bit.

Been riding 3 years and never liked taking bike off center stand. Dont know why i never though of putting it in gear before but that makes a lots of sense!

Wow -Thank you! This was a huge help. I was doing everything BUT actually standing on the center stand pedal. I was holding the center stand down and trying to pull+lift to pivot up and over center stand feet only to fail to get enough grip on the ground. I gave up on using my center stand, thinking it wasn’t a good fit for my bike. I went out to try this immediately after watching this vid and I popped the bike on to the center stand on first try. I now have a center stand.

Great tutorial, I got my bike on its center stand for the first time after almost a year of ownership. (21x)Thank you!

FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!

Before I was standing too far forward of the bike, now I'm standing further back with my left arm somewhat straight when holding the left handlebar due to being further away from it. Puts me in a better position to get more weight down on the centre stand. Thanks a bunch Moto Sensei!

I’m new to this whole new world. Lovin it, but realized right away that there is a steep learning curve. This was just one more thing that I knew I didn’t know.. 20 times( shut up an practice, right?) even after 20 not as easy as you make it look .. but after 50 it will be. As a former teacher I really appreciate your approach. Straight forward, clear topic, easy to understand, remember., and implement instructions. Thank you for the wealth of information. I recommend you to everyone I talk to. The new riders, who are asking me where to start, and the “experienced riders”, that are asking how I have as much knowledge as I do riding only a year now.( in the Seattle area so that equates to 4 months of actual dry riding ) Answer is always the same .. Moto Jitzu. I’m going to shut up now and go practice

Cheers

I am 73 years old and ride a GL 1800 Gold wing. I have never been able to get it up on the center stand until now. I have watched every video on YouTube and not one of them explained about pulling the bike backwards and not upward until now. Thank you very much for your very informative video. My GW is now sitting on the center stand.

I tend to sit on the bike to take it off the centre stand, rock it back until the rear tyre touches the tarmac, then rock it forward and it jumps off the stand. That way my feet are both landing on the floor either side of the bike at the same time, I squeeze the front brake with one finger to stop it rolling forward as it comes off the stand. If the engine is already running, then its straight into first gear and off I go - all in one movement! Give it a go Eddie! (Takes a bit of practice!)

Great presentation! I'm a short guy and have a 83 Yamaha xj650 Maxim and love the old bike. It's all original and takes me back to my younger years. I was never comfortable trying the center stand, but after watching your video I can't wait to try it. The 20 times drill is a very thoural learning technique. You are a very good teacher, and I can tell a very disciplined rider. You are very well equipped with all the right riding gear. Thanks again, be safe.

I finally bought the adventure bike I’ve always wanted. Never had a bike with a center stand before and struggled getting it on it until this video. Thanks brother! Keep it up!

Thank you so very much for creating this CENTER STAND video. I had a Honda Center Stand installed on my 2024 Honda NC750X DCT yesterday, in addition to the initial 600-mile service appointment. Without your expert tutorial, I may never had used it. Since buying my very first motorcycle on Veterans Day 2017 through today, your instructional videos have proven to be a steady source of reliable and trustworthy information. Thanks again, Scott.

I just got my first bike yesterday, a BMW F650GS with 1150 miles on it. I did a search hoping I would find a video that would show this. Thanks for providing the most useful content on motorcycling riding on the web. I'm going to shut up and practice now. Thanks again!

Thanks for making this video! Recently got a Honda VFR with a center stand and this video made it really easy for me to get the bike on and off the stand.

I'm so happy to find this! I took my bike off its centerstand and it fell the opposite way breaking my brake lever and some scuffs. After that, I was hoping to find the right way to do it. I'm watching all your videos from oldest and found this. Thank you so much and keep that superb content coming!!!
