Great video here! I worked in radio for many years. It was definitely one of the most entertaining jobs that I've ever had, but there were some pretty big drawbacks. I appreciate that you were realistic about your experience, and didn't sugarcoat some of the negatives.

Internet radio is better because you have a lot more freedom in what to play, I know since I used to work in terrestrial radio decades ago, I work in other fields now but a few times a year I get to do a shift at an Internet radio station (I love it because I get to go back to my radio roots after over a decade of virtually doing no radio shifts, I've been doing that about 5 years)

I did a one week work experience in a radio station a while back and I thoroughly enjoyed the many aspects of it but they focused me a lot on script writing and having precise lines to say and what not. I was just wondering if this is reality or they were just giving me stuff to do? 😂

So as a guy trying to get into radio I have a lot of questions. So I have the SBE hand book and the study guides for CRO and CTO certifications and I'm about to dive into those but is there degree I should swing for as well as the certs? I'm a 5 year Navy man, I just got out a few months ago and I'm staring down the scariest question in the world: What do I do now? and now, because of that question I'm a walking anxiety attack, so any information you could offer would be deeply appreciated. I was interested in getting into radio, but online it seems the average salary cap for Radio hosts type jobs was 30-40k max? Do you find this tough to live on personally or is it do-able?
