On a potential reversal, I wait for 2 highs or lows to be formed before I can identify direction. Also, consolidation in the middle of a range can mean a sweep.

FVG are king. Watch for big moves with gaps.

External and internal liquidity are also things to consider. If price sweeps and external high, look for internal to be tapped/filled and vice versa.

Lastly, trade within premium and discount.
