Slovenian colours are from coat of arms of Duchy Carniola from middle ages. In fact it has to be Yellow, blue and red colours.

So… the firt thing is fact, that modt of slavic nations have theese colors, it comes from 1848 from slavic conferency. It is not just because like you said, many european nations have this color. And also Slovenians are technically Slovaks that were pushed down to south by hungarians when they came. So we are not conected just by our name.

Slovakia or Slovenia means land of Slovenians, not Slavs. Slavia means land of Slavs. In fact as exemple Yugoslavia was land of south Slavs. Yugo means south and Slavija means land of Slavs. So your statement is wrong.
