Most of the houses, as well as throughout Portugal, are painted white, dates and fish are dried on the terraces. Palm trees and orange trees grow throughout the city, and fish splash in the Gilao River.

I wish they would change the culture towards graffiti because in many parts of the world it signals danger/trouble. I know some of it can be beautiful art, but let's be honest, most is not. It's blight and vandalism and turns an amazing town into less, not more

Just come back from Tavira. A lovely town in every way. Not for the disabled or wheelchair users as the cobblestones are used everywhere old! And sadly, too much graffiti, blame the locals for that!
