A MIGHTY Train That Changed The Way I Think in Satisfactory Update 8
Welcome to an awe-inspiring journey of colossal proportions as we embark on a mega project in Satisfactory! In this video, I'll take you through every step of my ambitious plan to build a gigantic refinery capable of turning raw oil and sulfur into the most efficient resources for turbofuel.

Get ready to witness the power of efficient design as I meticulously explain the resources needed and reveal where I'll be mining and drilling them. With a demand for 3000 cubic meters of oil per minute and 2000 sulfur per minute, I'll demonstrate how I set up on-site extraction machinery and a local storage buffer area. Watch in awe as the logistics unfold, and train stations are built, all in preparation to transport resources to the refining area.

As the project takes shape, the railway network plays a pivotal role in seamlessly transporting vast quantities of resources. Witness the grandeur of this colossal undertaking, as the impressive train system connects extraction sites to the refinery with mesmerizing efficiency.

Throughout the video, I draw inspiration from creators like ImKibitz, TotalXclipse, Nilaus, and Bitz, promising viewers a similar experience if they enjoy the masterful creations of these pioneers.

Join me on this epic adventure, where every meticulous detail is essential to crafting the ultimate "secret sauce" for our tower – the turbofuel. The rewards of this monumental effort will be evident as we unlock the potential of this powerhouse refinery. Don't miss out on this captivating journey of ingenuity and efficiency in the world of Satisfactory!

FYI, when adding stuff to the milestones, you can "ctrl+click" a material to fill the required material, if you have enough.

also, i would advice you to have more fluid stations for this transport. the fluid carts hold 1600m3, youre producing 2400 m3, so you would need to have 3 carts arriving every 2 minutes to have the 2400m3 actually put through. this means you will need quite a few trains to not run into throughput issues and therefor you will clog up your railroad very quickly. assuming trains from later lines will use the same track. its better to double or triple your fluid stations and splitting the input equally, then combine them again at the unloading station. basically youre increasing your buffer then and buy yourself more time to get longer but fewer trains to provide enough throughput. i have 2200+ hours in the game so i hope youll trust me on this one

ah yes, another mega project! Great work on this one too, you've got some of the best ideas for builds in the community! Keep it up :D

For my train supports, I just make them all 4 pillars high, build floating foundations as i connect them, build my support blueprint on top and use the floating foundations to ensure the supports make the rails connect with beautiful lines. then delete the floating foundations and extent the pillars to the ground. it makes perfect train rail lines if you follow the rule for laying track, like if you make a turn, ensure that the start and end are equal numbers of foundations away from the corner foundation, or when you go up/down, make sure you start it 2 foundations away from the edge of the decline/incline and snap it 2 foundations down the ramp then continue on temporary ramp foundations until the slope is done. delete the temp foundations, extend the pillar, gg. it's way faster than trying to snap rails to every inch of the support like it's a road or on the ground.

I use tickets to get extra parts i need all the time so no trigger for me sir 😊 i mean isnt that what they are for lol your train system looks amazing great work!!

@17:05, You're looking directly at a normal purity Sulfur node. Have a poke among the rocks directly in front of you.

I am blown away from the detail and dedication you are using in your build style. Have you tried the flood lighting yet? I know night is annoying but adding giant lighting can add a lot of vibes to your world.

That came out looking great! I appreciate seeing someone else not super familiar with train infrastructure that still banged out a nice smooth design as I've been avoiding tackling my existing lumpy ugly ass routes and stations. At least now I know it's possible to make a respectable network without the crazy practice time sink that alotta other building techniques require.
Really enjoying this series! Glad I found it. This is not a suggestion or unrequested advice but just a thought. Your shroom build was cool and unique and I was sad to see it visually fade away when the towers were built on top. It might not be super efficient but I'd love to see more flat, wide shroom style structures around!
Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing how your world keeps developing.

when i build train stations, i always build them back to front, using the "train station" only and once im done, i delete them all except the one on the front and then place the freight or fluid stations. the train station itself you can just connect back to back so the spacing will never be wrong.

hey nice video,
can you tell me how you build the bleprints for the curves at 2:36
i just cant figure out how to make blueprints that connect to each other

I could be wrong but for my turbo fuel power plant I used 600 Sulfur and the maximum amount of oil was 300 Oil. (You have to use the diluted fuel recipe to be that efficient though)

I love your videos, really nice work. For large height differences you could use trains spirals. They work perfect and look amazing. I think amelieofthesea has a tutorial on how to build them.

Fluids and trains can be a pain. You can fill 1600m^3 in one station at 600m^3 in 2:40min. So the roundtrip time needs to be lower for one train, or you need to divide the roundtrip time by 2:40min and round up. So if your train needs like 5min you would need 2 of them as 5:00<5:20? A train is stationary for ~30sec. So yes if you use both inputs into the station and buffer them so you can fill up to 1200m^3 temporarily.
If you build more stations and only fill the 1600m^3 at 400m^3/min you have 4:00min as your roundtrip threshold. Also you could get away with a single pipe and inline buffer. If you build longer trains the segments from your blocksignals need to be long enough to fit them. Especially at the short corner of an intersection. Otherwise trains could collide and will if the system runs long enough.
If your round time is 6min and you use 3 trains you should set the timing to: fully load/unload OR 2min. That way the trains distribute evenly and if you want all items to be transfered in time your stations and trains won't allways be completely full. Fully load/unload works most of the time, as stations have more storage then carts but i like having the timing as well.

Had a perfect spot for a plant in the forest's canyon planed to go up 10 stories. In the middle of placing cool bridge like x with angled foundation supports, the moth flys overhead and dives low under a stone arch. I did not change the plan. I built around his path.

Trees in titan forest makes me want to rip my hair out when building bridges just under the canopy. So many invisible /oversized collision boxes. Supposedly fixed in update 8.

The nodes for uranium is in the long cave tunnel that winds around, big area inside the cavern, lots of spiders. Then under the waterfall in the north east of the map in the swampy area. The small rocks will not get you a lot of uranium.

Hey Aprox! Your designs are gorgeous and your content is awesome! Great stuff!
If you're struggling with railway intersections, I highly recommend Toaster Gaming's train tutorial (he does youtube stuff too). It is hands-down the best guide for making any kind of intersection with confidence. (Sorry I hope it's not rude promoting another creator's content, but this guide helped me a ton and I now consider myself a pro because of it) Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of your content in future. Keep it up! :)
