How have you not heard of Ramset???? They make a hammer actuated version for only $25 and it's a essentially a .22 Cal hammer. It's awesome I don't always have to do fastening into concrete, but whenever I gotta make up for the framers it's wayyyy faster than a drill

Wow, I am amazed that you never heard of Ramset, their history goes back more than 70 years!

Sometime around January 2021...

[TTI Exec]: "Ok guys. We need some summer blockbuster tools that will sell out and create hype. Ideas?"
[Milwaukee Product Developer]: "Let's finally release the 2-drawer packout."
[Ryobi Product Developer]: "Clamp fan. A fan with a clamp. I love clamp."
[Ridgid]: "I think..."
[TTI Exec]: "SHUT UP RIDGID. You thought you could pull a fast one with Octane. You're on TTI brand double secret probation. Go hang out with the plumbers over at Emerson."

Ok Rob - I own a small Lumber yard in Oregon and just to make you jealous, We have 6 - pack out 2 drawers and 4 pack out 3 drawers. Just to rub it in. And they are for sale, but not On Sale!! Keep up the great work!

All the tool stores I’ve been in carry Ramsets. Check the nailer aisle. They’re basically .22 caliber hammers - that’s as American as it gets.

Ramset are everywhere, even a Home Depot you can get their simple one hand tool. They are crazy!

I demand that all new impact wrenches be flex head now, it's too good

If you dig Ramset, take a look at Hilti's guns. Shoot big structural pins, semi auto .27 cal with SILENCERS built it. Bought it 1996 for about $800. But, if you work in NYC you need like 2 different licenses, 1 pemit and a dedicated locked steel box for the ammo for FDNY. Enter hi pressure air. You'll thank me later.

Love this channel. A little surprised about the Ramset though. They’ve been around in common use for decades. They were standard in the late 90s when I started in the trades, and had several generations already out then.

But hey welcome lol

Ramsets are badass. Hilti makes em too. Really big in the concrete biz

Ramset is a must own tool for any carpenter or framer. Hilti I see more with metal stud framers.

Ramset fast traks are a standard down here for metal framers in florida, a metal stud framer shows up to a jobsite 9/10 times hes rocking a ramset trakfast. Theyre tough as nails specially the first gen from the 90s theyre a bit bigger but those things dont die. I know framers who have owned the original trakfast for over 20 years

Milwaukee has a 12 volt and it's done very well for tapcon sizes. Let's see if DeWalt can produce something that will compare

Packout boxes are nice and may stay dry from rain, but does not stay dry in humid areas
