The only drawback of this spray is that the engine area becomes messy. As you drive while you have sprayed this repellent, the dust settles and sticks to all the engine parts, wires where you have sprayed this repellent.

I am Prof.Nagarajan, I have purchased and used the same 3 M rat repellent spray in my new car. There no 100 % guarantee because even we applied spray rats are coming and going in the car engine area.
The most dis-advantage is this spray leaves a ^Thin Clear Coating" on the engine parts, wires and in the plastic parts even after 10 times car washing that "Plain Clear Paint Coating" is still persisting just looks like colour-less clear nail polish.
