Sand Hollow UT Trail Guide | “John’s Trail” (7 Rated) | RZR Turbo S Velocity & Teryx 4 Rock Crawling

We head out to John’s Trail this week, a 7-rated trail I’m the central/west part of Sand Hollow.

Sand Hollow is located only a few minutes from St George, and about a 30 minute drive from Zion National Park.

This trail is often ran right after Sliplock Gulch, a short 6-rated trail.

John’s is one of the longer trails at Sand Hollow. There aren’t many “famous” obstacles on the trail, but there are a lot of smaller, technical options.

Nice vid, as always. At the end of this John’s trail video, Royce mentions that in the winter the last climb would be slippery. Is the traction bad enough in the winter that your machines wouldn’t be able to do the obstacles in this trail? What about the Maze? We’re coming down mid February this year for our first time on these trails.

Kawasaki knows about their brakes. That’s why they made the krx. I have a long travel teryx “till it sells”. The brakes are so bad with 32” tires on.
