Being from Ct and a mom who retired to Maine, I can appreciate both. But I’ve adapted the Ct style a little with what I call the “Seafood Trinity” melted butter, finely chopped garlic and hot sauce. I put that on steamed or smoked clams, mussels or oysters. If you can find fresh sardines grill them and pour that sauce over the top. Your tongue will thank your brain.

Try doing the Connecticut style but add a touch of Yum yum sauce... thin squeeze over the top. We use to eat at an Asian restaurant that served the lobster like the Con Version sand. But over rice... then added that sauce or similar. Sooo buttery good and combined with the sauce drizzled.

My preference is the Maine style... sometimes I see this and I make a bowl of shrimp salad and eat it on butter toasted rolls. If lobster isn't available. I use boiled shrimp from one of the local seafood places. I'm in New Orleans.

European here. Those look both amazing, I prefer the Maine-style. I tried a bugdet-version once (Maine-style) by replacing the lobster by a fresh crab. It‘s a lot of work to get all the meat out of it but it was amazing. Have a nice one

Me and my family own a lobster roll restaurant and we were being curious and we are all from Maine so we always ate them cold and sometimes as ct with butter but one day we got curious and did a warm lobster roll with butter AND mayo and it issss good and is now our #1 selling roll (we call it the perfect storm 😅)

I visited Maine 2 years ago and I was so eager to get a lobster roll and it came out cold, chewy and with mayo. That’s when I learned of the difference between the two 😂. I was expecting hot, buttery and soft 😋

Lobster is usually not my fav go to…but I will try it..I think I may lean toward the cold selection…nevertheless, I will also sample the warm choice as well!,

I’ll eat either but when I worked as a line cook in MA, we made it with buttah!! Salt, pepper and a little bit of tarragon 😚👌🏽 THE BEST!

For those of us that don’t do celery, use cucumbers — just don’t forget to scrape the seeds out first. I live in Massachusetts so we do them both ways😊!!
