No doubt India bloc swept the bypoll elections, but have we looked into the constituency where they won - WB, Punjab, Chennai which we already knew do not vote for BJP due to various reasons including terror politics. Besides, its high time BJP assess their situation do not be too complacent and dependent on Modiji to win any elections - small or big. BJP elected leaders will have to do their job to stay in the race and not just wait for Modiji to cover-up for their negligence. Plus, Supreme court must take stringent action of freebies as that is what is making the elections go in favor of India Bloc - the final losers are the taxpayers whose money is looted by all these politicians. There is nothing good happening across India - infrastructure collapse, scams, arrest and release on bail - tell me one productive thing that is happening in India at this moment.

Statesman:: Indian statesmen were undoubtedly respected before 2014, but after Modi came to power, he had to be “tolerated" by the West for trade and strategic purposes (keep China and Russia on line as was always the case prior to Modi too). If the bhakts believe that Modi is popular abroad, then that may be true with his psycophants who are Indian by ethnicity, adorning a large red dot on their forehead (primarily young Indians on a student Visa and sometimes senior citizens). There are large swathes of them studying at Rutger in New Jersey who are the ones beating the Modi drum. In UK, people like this are seen as “wierd" and ignored and not especially “respected “, but they just exist like every other foreign nationality living there
