Electric Thermostats are pretty neat #shorts

The SSP on this is very interesting. There are about seven different modes that the thermostat can operate in depending on the requirements of the car. And they all involve leaking.

The traditional thermostat has been functioning for a LONG time.
Why are we trying to digitize or sensorize everything on cars?
Electronic shift controls, electronic parking brakes.... why?

My thermostat is a 92c $6.00 and comes with new gasket, went faulty at 170, 000 miles 15 minutes to fix still working 60, 000 miles later.

Thermostats have worked just fine for 100 1/4 years. This is ridiculous over engineering.

Nothing neat about making parts that have worked for decades more complicated harder to work on and more expensive the only reason you as a shop mechanic think it's neat is because you know you can charge ignorant amounts of money for the repair, where if it was a thermostat on a 5.3 ls or simular you can't charge any where near as much
