Andrew McGovern’s first impressions on using the latest additions to SmallHD’s popular FOCUS range, the OLED and OLED SDI.

The SmallHD FOCUS is a 5.5in, 1920x1080 resolution OLED monitor with a micro-HDMI input for on-camera video use. Similar to the original FOCUS model, but with a higher resolution display and OLED technology, this edge-to-edge, bonded glass monitor features a 7.2V power output to power DSLR and mirrorless cameras. It also features an integrated Sony L battery slot and a SmallHD Tilt Arm (a camera-top mounting solution).

Did you notice any image retention/burn-in such as from the on-screen overlays?  I hear that OLED tends to burn-in more than an LCD screen.

I've looked everywhere for info on that RED WARNING that you get "Bat1:Low" Even if my battery has juice it displays this warning for some reason. You know anything about this Guys???

I bought one based on this video. I have a Nikon d750 and d850. Neither work with this monitor. No signal received by the monitor. The monitor does work with my D800. Australian distributor unable to help....so unless I get some ideas I will be sending in back. Be careful Nikon owners.
