Drugs are not worth it, ever. They lead to nothing good. My friend died of an accidental overdose in HS. I miss him, his smile, his hugs, his intelligence. His parents were never the same. Before you think drugs won’t hurt or kill you, that you won’t be the one this happens to… think about the emptiness and shattered hearts of the people who love you, that you’ll leave behind. I’m so sorry to this mother, and family. Thank you for speaking out.

My 17 year old niece passed away last year from a fentanyl overdose. She was given a peercocet that was laced with fentanyl. My heart is forever missing a piece and I feel for that family

My mother never ever let me to go to any parties whatsoever. I was so SO mad at her during my teenage years. I went to a college party for the first time at 22 and did not like all the drugged out people there. I realized people almost normalized popping pills since most have been doing it at least since high school. I am so glad I never went to any of the crazy parties! Thanks mom.

you could literally show this to someone who is thinking about trying drugs and if their mind is made up then there isn't anything anyone can do

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can tell that you will take this as a opportunity to educate and help as many people as you can understand the dangers of this drug. A selfless person. I pray for you comfort at this time, I'm definitely praying for your 6 year old, I know this is going to be hard on her, I'm sure she loved her sister so much. She's old enough to understand that she won't be coming back so she's really going to miss her. Life can be really hard sometimes and seem unfair

Say no to drugs, no matter how small, how pretty, or how yummy it looks. It’s not worth losing your life. If everyone does it, let them. You don’t touch it. Life is precious. Think about who you’ll be leaving behind. Condolences to this family.

So sad....seems like a good mom but at the end of the day one mistake, one decision can change everything. Can't blame the mom because we've all don't things that our loved ones would disagree with.

It blows my mind that a child with a good middle class upbringing, who does not come from a broken home and who had parents involved in her life that were bringing awareness of the dangers of drug use still died and made a fatal mistake. If it can happen to her it can happen to anyone.

No judgement. The pain of losing a child is already heartbreaking. My understanding is that they even disguise it so she may have just taken something she wasn't aware of. This is a scary world. Please don't take for granted your loved ones. Tell them how much you love them.

Being a recovering addict, i still know lots of people addicted to drugs, but with fentanyl people are dropping like flies. I already know 6 people died in the last 2 years, the latest one being a few months ago. You can't just tell the kids not to do it, because they're going to do it no matter what if they want to. Teach them about safety. You can get free tests to make sure there's no fentanyl in the drug you're taking. You can carry narcan just in case something happens.

Please be careful esp if you’re a teen don’t do drugs. Even an edible can give you bad anxiety for awhile .. Be careful sober life is better I promise. Take it from someone who went through it all it’s awful and withdrawls feel like you’re dying

Just lost my uncle to an overdose this past week. He was an addict, so we all knew it was coming some day. I can’t imagine how it feels losing her so young and innocent. Just a mistake at that age
