hey everyone so here are my 2021 college decision reactions :)) i applied to 23 schools, including 6 ivies (Harvard, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, Yale, and UPenn), Stanford, MIT, UChicago, Rice, Northwestern, and more. i can’t even begin to tell you how relieved i am that the process is over because my stress the past three months 📈📈 and ESPECIALLY the day before ivy day

side note… how are some people so calm about acceptances!?!?!? make sure you watch this video on speaker and not headphones (to prevent ear damage)

side note 2… i didn’t realize how high my voice gets when i’m nervous or excited i promise it’s not that high normally 😭

Tip; if you are waitlisted and you really want to go to the school, call (do not email) the admissions office. Happened to me. I was waitlisted and I called immediately and they admitted me before we got off the phone. Don't wait have space for you. Also, after you've been in the work force for 2-3 years no one cares where you went to school or what your GPA was. They care if you can get the job done.

Keep in mind, 2021 was one of the hardest years to get into colleges while 2020 was one of the easiest (cause a lot of people took gap years). I don’t mean this as a way to downplay anyone who got into where they wanted in 2020, just pointing this out so you don’t feel so bad about the rejections. If you got accepted in 2020, you are more than brilliant enough to be there. Even if you wouldn’t have been accepted another year, the only reason is that there are just so many applicants and so few places. So don’t be hard on yourself either way!
