💙For the Hot Tea:💙

2 teaspoons dried flowers
1 cup boiling water
lemon or lime juice to taste, optional

💙For the Lavender Lemonade:💙

2 teaspoons dried flowers
1/2 cup hot water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1-3 tablespoons lavender simple syrup
ice cubes
1/2 cup cold water

💙For the Lavender Simple Syrup:💙

1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons edible dried lavender buds (organic is important here)
1/2 cup sugar
pinch salt

💙For the Hot Blue Pea Flower Latte:💙

1 teaspoon butterfly pea flower powder
1 tablespoon hot water
1-2 teaspoon sweetener of choice (optional)
a few drops of almond extract (optional)
1 cup whole milk

💙For the Iced Blue Tea Latte with Matcha Sweet Cream:💙

1 teaspoon butterfly pea flower powder
1 tablespoon water
1 cup milk

3 tablespoons whipping cream
1 tablespoon whole milk
1 tablespoon maple syrup or vanilla syrup
a few drops of vanilla extract (if not using vanilla syrup)
1 teaspoon matcha powder

I got my drink to turn yellowish pink but I think that's because I added lemon when there was already pineapple in the tea bag. Still good tho!

There's one called a Spurred Butterfly Pea that is native to the southern/southeastern untiled states. I wonder if they can be used for the same purpose?

lol this grows like weeds in my backyard....i had to get rid of some of it...its not everyday that i cook blue food or tea xD...so i dont need it that much. We used it to cook blue rice and sweets.

I had this several years ago at a restaurant in a "magic cocktail" (Google butterfly pea flower cocktails). Recently I was in SF Chinatown and bought some at Red Blossom Tea Company. I personally don't think it has a discernable taste at all - just good for hydration and all the health benefits. I can't wait to try the lavender lemonade, matcha latte and buy some powder.
