With its captivating rows of magnolia trees, first planted in the 1850s, Magnolia Lane stands as one of the most revered drives in all the world. The entryway to Augusta National Golf Club makes an immediate and lasting impact on all those who drive down her covered pathway. From Masters competitors to the Club’s co-Founders, it is both a hallmark of history and a harbinger of things to come. And it had a unique role in shaping not just the club, but the Tournament. The second episode of Hallowed Grounds: The Story of Augusta National provides an intimate look at the 330-yard Magnolia Lane, what it has meant to generations of golfers and the iconic land that awaits at its end.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

Augusta National is undoubtfully the number one place I’d wish to visit before I leave this planet. What an impeccable place.

The funny thing is that the rest of the city is kind of ... not so nice.

Guys I figured out how any of us non-pro golfers can play Augusta National...
All you have to do is win your local US Open Qualifier, then the Regional Qualifier, then go on to win the US Amateur, and BOOM you're in! 👉

Background music is waaaay too loud, distracts the narration. Tough to watch.

Only thing for me is the pomp and ceremony at the masters is over hyped. It seems constructed somehow. New layers are added each year. It seems over done a bit like the constant saluting of your President etc.The open is a better job. And no I'm not British or American.
