I am a gujarati, but I think Marathi movies are the best in India. They are seriously better than Hindi cinema also.

Content in marathi films is far better than bollywood.
It's just because of language barrier (marathi being regional language), these movies don't get as much exposure as bollywood movies which are screened nationwide.

I am a bong...the land of Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, Mrinal Sen, Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Rishikesh Mukherjee, Bimal Roy...all about simple storytelling of the real people...and that's it...and now I feel so connected to Marathi movies (specially Nagraj Manjule gharana) that resonates the same style...kudos to the team

Director of this film doesn't speak Marathi but he works in Marathi industry as DOP, this is his debut as director...
Sudhakar Reddy Yankkati was DOP of all time blockbuster Sairat...
