I was taught that you catch that ball with your hands and as soon as you have it, bring that sucker in and tuck it, just like he said. You make the catch so you at least make the play but you bring it right in and secure it.

Larry Fitzgerald is arguably has some of the best hands ever in the NFL as a receiver. You never saw him body a ball and a drop from him was a rarity.

Bad context. The topic was in traffic. Watch Irvin footage. He was a grandmaster at catching the ball in traffic because he understood *shielding* the ball, using his elbows and legs and positioning to where the DB could NOT make a play on the ball. That was his point.
And TO has as many TDs as 88/19 but he also has more drops so last guy to be talking about hands.
He was famous for alligator arms up the middle because he was afraid to get hit (watch his comeback game against eagles and playoff game in 07).

I always liked TO. A friend of mine was on the Eagles practice squad and his locker was next to TOs. Said he's the best teammate.

That being said...only 2 types of people wear sunglasses inside. Blind people and assholes.

Never have the balls hit your chest. You have to let the balls touch your hands first. Also make sure you have soft hands when handling the balls. Then bring the balls close to your body.

In the NFL Combine they grade on fingertip grabs not body catches

You use the hands to slow the ball down. Hands pull the ball to the body, just as described.

Yeah i was always taught to catch with my hands.. i mean everybody catches with their body at some point when necessary but you should always try and catch with your hands

Terrell is basically saying what the good ones tell you since highschool. Set the noose.

I encourage all American Footballers to watch Aussie rules. Very different game, but some techniques may cross over

Michael Irvin was bugging with that advice, but he is one of the best receivers in NFL history and it worked for him. And he caught plenty passes going over the middle. That advice only works for him...

TO I believe took things too personally on the field, but I still rooted for the guy regardless what team he was on. The game clearly meant so much to him.
