Ireland Road Trip 10 Days Exploring The Wild Atlantic Way

This video guide will cover how to plan an epic Ireland Road Trip for 10 days. Along the way we'll explore much of the Wild Atlantic Way, catch sunset at the Cliffs of Moher, conquer Croagh Patrick and explore the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin.

I personally made this journey in May and it covers many of the big to dos in Ireland, with most of the time spent exploring outside of Dublin.

Since the route makes a near perfect circle around Ireland's exterior coastline, I'd suggest using this as a starting point for planning your trip to Ireland and then adding on any stops you're interested in, not covered in this guide.

Below you'll find tons of useful links to additional Ireland travel content on my blog along with links to help you book hotels and activities in and around Dublin. Quick disclaimer, some of the links below may contain affiliate links.

Love it. At least someone who can enjoy a country trip which doesn't last a month or so. Sometimes time is limited.

I think a stop in Gaway really needs to be included. While you can't see everything in a country in 10 days, it seems sad to drive through Galway and not stop. But otherwise this is certainly a great tour. I would also suggest one night in temple bar is enough. It's very touristic and expensive. Try the Grafton street area, lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars between Dawson St and George's St. This is where locals go.

My wife and I leave in three weeks from Cleveland for the west coast, and I think this video will be our guide. I like it better than other videos and websites. Nicely done.

Hi Wes- Is there a loop road going to Slieve league from the falls, or does a person need to double back towards Donegal? Thanks again, Jim M

Thanks for the comprehensive video.

To those who want to plan a trip, I would suggest to include a pit stop at Belfast, Derry, Connemara, Burren, Sligo, Killarney and Wicklow

Thank you thank you, Wes. The first few days (and a few others) will be just about the exact trip for us four ladies in our 60’s this coming June. (Skipping Dingle as we’ve been there for 3 days in Doolin as a base for spending more time in Clare + two of our group are going early to do one of the hill walk tours in Dingle while us other two are in Scotland). You travel like we do and heaven forbid you post an itinerary like this on some of the FB groups! 😅 Like your Slieve League video, you answered another question that yes you can visit the Causeway after hours. New sub who’ll be watching all of your Irish videos.

This was really helpful for us, as we‘re planning a roadtrip for our anniversary. We‘ll follow your route! Thank you so much.

I‘ll check out your blog and the other videos, and we‘ve both subbed.

A really well done video, I hope you get the views you deserve on it.

Very nice video. Gives a good impression of 'what to see, where to go'. For sure I will plan our trip guided by your video. Feedback for you Wes: check on the Spelling of the names of places and highlights in the text -> for example: the spoken words 'Hotel in Liscannor' is in texted as 'hotel in Lisbon' 🙂 There are more of these 'mistakes' wrongly texted names of places in the video.

Sleego = Sligo (pronounced sly go) he did okay with Donegal and moher. Liscannor not so much much. Very lucky to get out to the skelligs by the way. Hope you enjoyed all of it. Cork is a city by the way and just wondering why you didnt stay on Limerick?

Are the Cliffs of Mohr worth it or should we just go to Slieve League Cliffs?
