Shevchenko, Ronaldo, Batistuta, Baggio, Ibrahimovic, in the same league. The best era of Italian league.

Shevchenko is like that kid in your neighborhood, who just does it better than anyone else - cheeky, faster, better dribbling, better long shots.

Shevchenko belongs to a generation in which there were so many outstanding strikers (all born between 1975-79): Ronaldo, Raul, Van Nistelrooy, Makaay, Henry, Trezeguet, Crespo, Shevchenko, Vieri, Inzaghi, Owen, Drogba, Forlán. All of them have been top goalscorers in their leagues.

I grew up with that Milan... Maldini, Cafu, Nesta, Serginho, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso, Rui Costa, Inzaghi and Shevchenko, among others... I was born in 1985, so I was a teenager in the early 2000s. As an AC Milan fan, a passion that my dad gave to me when I was a child, I can't say how I feel when I see the name of Shevchenko. He just was my hero as a teenager. I was so confident that he could solve all problems, just like some kind of Superhero. So it's really moving for me to watch those videos. I have feelings and shivers on my body when I hear or read this name: SHEVCHENKO!

Wow! Shevchenko was the most complete forward, he could do it all. This dude was amazing. I think the one quality that is overlooked is that he wouldn't go down with minimal contact like most of the players now a days.

Definition of Complete striker! Scored from any angle, and with any means ( left foot, right foot, header, free kick, etc ). Always clutch in important games ( seriously if you check AC milan games from 2000-2006 against top teams in serie A or champions league, he is in the scoring sheet each time ). Top striker in Europe against top defenders... this guy was facing the best defenders in Italy and all over Europe. Would be easily a 30 goals or more striker in today’s football

The legendary coach of Dynamo Kiev Valeri Lobanovsky brought Sheva into greatness and made D. Kiev in the 80's and 90's one of the best clubs in Europe. Kiev should have beaten BM in the semis of CL and go on to face Man U in the final that year. BM was really lucky to snatch 3:3 tie in Kiev, but lost a dramatic final to Man U that year....

Sheva was unique. He didn't have the technique of Ronaldo, but is willpower was second to none. Many of his goal came from sheer willl to score, against fouls and oppnents.
He won the top scorer title in his first season in Serie A, playing as a left/right winger. He was amazing

He was a war machine! He was good in everything: dribbling, head, right and left foot, long-range shot! I think he was one of the most complete striker I've seen in my life.
Beside this, he was fast and powerful. He seemed unstopable.
I miss him.

one of my all-time favorite strikers EVER. I have liked him ever since I've watched him play for Dynamo Kiev and putting 3 goals into Barca's net. and when I've heard that AC Milan (my favorite team at that time) have transferred him... well, you get the idea :) .... Cristian Chivu (one of Romania's best defenders that's captained Ajax in his early years, and later on moved on to AS Roma and Inter Milan where he's been in the starting 11 due to his defending skills has said that Andriy Shevchenko has been the most difficult striker that he's had to defend against, and we're talking about an era where Chivu had to defend against the likes of Ronaldo - the real Ronaldo I mean - Del Piero, Inzaghi, Raul, and the alikes. Yet, Sheva has been the toughest striker to mark because of his amazing understanding of the game, as well as his great positioning. You would never know where Shevcencko was going to be the next second, and he's always understood the game 1 second earlier than everyone else, which is what has given him the edge over other strikers, which, subsequently, is why Chivu has always had difficulties marking him... Good old times when AC Milan was existing in football, and players like Kaka, Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Pirlo, Maldini and Seedorf were each entitled to their own Ballon d'Or... Good old times... and I miss them so much)

He wasn't like typical striker Who waits around box to receive the ball & beat one on one goalie.... He could dribble past the entire defense & still score long shot goals even with his weak foot.... Sheva! What a prolific striker he was.. ❤

From 1999 til 2006, as FORWARD was second just to O Fenomeno (Ronaldo). He was devastating because he was a complete player, able to play with the team, high technical skills, clever, and he knew how to score. Beside all these qualities he had one thing more than the others: the mentality. He was decisive in important games, not just against small teams. After Messi, O Fenomeno, Cr7 and Samuel Etoo, for me he has been the best centre forward over the last 20 years.

Сколько эмоций подарил Шева! За сборную Украины куча голов, за Динамо, за Милан, за Челси. Просто супер форвард. Золотой мяч 100% дан был Богом. Нога и Голова Бога.

One of the best 3 strikers ever he could dribble past half a team, skill, head the ball, calmly finish it, and he had exceptional pace, and volleys, he had everything

he is a monster in his prime. to still get goals past several Italian defensive monsters back in those day puts this guy in a different league.
