This costly mistake will cost you money reselling. What does dimensional weight mean? What is dimensional weight vs. actual weight? I lost a lot of money making this mistake, so I wanted to share some information about dimensional weight and how it's calculated. Don't forget about this next time you're shipping a larger item via FedEx or UPS.

I HATE this new implementation. I bought a gown from a seller on eBay and sad to say they messaged me this morning saying they ended up spending $133.50 just on the shipping because the box was oversized. The weight itself was 13 pounds but the DIM weight is 46 pounds. I feel so bad for them because they didn’t know and they lost over 75% of what I bought it for. These shipping companies are thieves.

Nice video. I stayed away from shipping big items on ebay unless they were of a $70.00 value or more item so you dont burn your profit if you miss calculat shipping.
Those darn measuring weights can be confusing especially if you dont use flat rate boxes.
Great information. My nerves and patience got shot from 6 years on ebay but i can tell you are doing much better at it than i ever did. Lol

Okay, so calculate the dim weight if any of our dimensions are over 12 inches? Is that the best way to prevent it?
