I love this video and how it shows her struggling by having this chain to her back (and that chains is symbolizing the everyday anxious thought of the person that broke us), when the beat drops it shows her in white light and that is the peace and happiness we will all someday achieve from the unsettlingness brokenness that we can't get away from. It keeps going back to the chain and the video shows her surrounded by red lights indicating the shitty anxious thoughts that are stuck in the back of our heads from the thing that Broke us...

OK, I love this video and Alison and am just gonna post this analysis:

So there's two Alisons. One's in the dark(past) & one in the light(present)

Past Alison constantly has spotlights thrown on her chest. The spotlights show her pain, her anguish. There's even a shot where she's convulsing on the floor when the spotlights hit her. Then the lights turn red. Red danger. That shit

Then there's a shot where past Alison's arm is covered with this blue gooey stuff. That same arm then touches the present Alison.
It shows that even though she is better now, she still has moments of weakness. Whatever happened to her still hurts her.

The two Alisons are also a pretty neat way of showing her recovery process. She used to be in that painful darkness & she's now relatively better in the light. But yeah, she still feels the pain because that's how recovery works irl too. You do get beybut there's moments/memories of weakness

Was on an quarter of shrooms in 2019 at hangout music fest and she headlined for 2 hours. I was at the peak of my trip and had recently gone thru a tough break up after 4 years together and she said this song goes out to my ex and it immediately made me think about my ex and how I was the problem in the relationship (I was in bad shape mentally at the time and struggling with a lot that my ex wanted no part of and eventually broke up w me so that she could be happier. I don’t blame her one bit but I regret being resentful and mad at her for making her feel like she left me and turned her back on me when in reality I turned my back on myself.) I have never cried harder in my life for these few minutes. Thank you for helping me find peace Alison. It still took awhile after that day to fully heal but this was the true start of it. I’m doin great now and have been in a relationship for 5 years and hope to marry that person. I wouldn’t have healed properly without that experience and I will forever be a fan more than I already was after that moment.
