She made me proud to be from a coal mining town in Appalachia. So many people look down on places like Butcher Holler but Loretta made us all hold our heads up high. She never sugarcoated anything but she was the unabashed truth and we loved her all the more, for that.

What a heart breaking day for her family, friends, fans,and country music. She broke down barriers for women in the music industry, she paved the way for so many. She let us know that it was ok to take birth control, to fight for the person you love. She was full of spunk and said how she felt. She stayed true to who she was before the fame. A beautiful woman inside and out . She has left us a legacy that will be forever untouched. Forever loved, forever remembered.. fly high Miss Loretta.
