It took me a while to realize the beginning was supposed to look like Shaggy and Scooby were getting stoned in the Mystery Machine. Plus, you can hear Shaggy cough at 0:08.

On top of that, Matthew Lillard totally nailed the role of Shaggy.

One of the best opening gags lol. Not only does it plays on continued joke of Shaggy being a stoner (which he is, let's be honest, HE IS lol), but then pans to still fit in characters' hunger. Which is the munchies part of getting high lol.

All the jokes aside - It must’ve been a very lonely time for Shaggy and Scooby not having Fred, Daphne and Velma around for 2 years. They were inseparable as a team and I think their breakup was too bitter.

Is it bad that I think this movie is like, genuinely one of the best films ever made? Feels silly because it's just Scooby Doo but when you're talking comedy movies I cannot get enough of this movie. I love visually interesting cartoony live action stuff like this and they treated the IP with upmost respect. Also, this whole movie is a delightful time capsule into the very early 2000s
