Love this song and the singer. Remember going to see him at Clacton one year in the early days. I've managed to get his autograph and a kiss off of him on the staircase of the back door of the theatre. Lovely memories. I was just looking this up because I wanted to show a picture of him to my friends as we have just been listening to this on my playlist.

As a young lad I remember Emile and I think his brother singing at the lower hall, at Battersea Town Hall ( now the arts centre ) in the 1950's, before he became well known. I would sit on the edge of the stage all night. We had something in common, in later years we both worked on the buses in London.

The memories are simply fantastic. I loved Emile Ford and the xheckmates seen them play at the Glasgow Empire in 1960/61 but have never managed to find a video recording of him live.
