I’m a new cat mommy and have googled every plant in my house and every food within my cats’ reach to learn about potential toxicity. Shocked to learn how many common flowers and foods are harmful, even deadly, to cats. No sweat. It isn’t hard getting used to having only 🌹🌹🌹 in my vases.

I can't tell you how thankful my family is for this information! When I showed this video to my husband, he then informed me our neighbors had just us left us some lilies as a gift and on our porch! We have 3 cats, so needless to say they aren't in our home! Thank you so very much for this video at the exact moment I needed to hear it!

I refuse to have lilies in my house for this reason. Forget it. They're not worth my cat!

I bought two lilies for outside. Brought them in for the winter. They were still bulbs. My cat started eating the leaves. And I learned they are toxic for my girl. So I gave them to my mother in law. Fortunately my ladybug didn't throw up or have any reactions to it. Thank God! He was protecting her for sure.

I had a scare many years ago. Since then, no flowers or plants are allowed in our house. The only exception is organic cat grass. I’m not messing around with it. I love my babies so much, it’s just not worth it.

Pollen of Lilly can accumulate in cat fur to a deadly dosage. that makes it imporrible for cats to avoid poisoning of nearby lilly.
Cats easily avoid less poisonous flowers by not touching/eating them (some plant have a deadly-dosage-of eating 4-leafs), and the pollen of non-lilly is mostly harmless.

I can’t believe my cats all lived as long as they did since we had multiple peace lily plants throughout the house. I think it’s because they didn’t chew on things much and didn’t get up on counters ever. My sister now has cats who are not trained at all and get up on every possible surface. Whenever they come over to visit we put all our peace lilies in the bathrooms and keep the doors closed.
