Looks like the lid is on uneven. Good luck with your rocks!

I love rock tumblers!

I just want to say, it won't make them into crystals. It will polish them and make them into tumbled stones or faux seaglass if you use glass. And if the noise is annoying run it inside of a cooler and snake the cord through the drain.

I will recommend that if you really like a rock, don't tumble it more. My friend tried, and it made it smaller and different pattern/or they will just be dust

Okay but those aren't rocks you found
They come with the tumbler, they're crystals

I just got my mom one of these and thinking about one for myself. Can’t wait to see how these turn out!

Fun fact, sand produced by moving water is sharp and thus useful for concrete. Sand made by moving air is smooth and not useful for concrete. This is why desert sand can’t be used for building.

I eagerly await the results!! I've been planning to get my own rock tumbler for the 500+ rocks and stones and possible gems that I've picked up over the years.

I've been collecting rocks since I could walk on my own, that's 26 years and 3 months!!!

I have so many and i really need to make use of them cause them take up so much space and are so heavy!!

I'm also hoping to use them for some monetary gain, since I have a hard time finding a job that works for my physical and mental difficulties!!

So i look forward to seeing what happens, and whether this is a good tumbler to add to my wishlist!!

Thanks for being cool, Jessie 😊

I can’t be the only one who was hoping that this video was more than 4 weeks old 😂😂

Huge rockbound here - there's a pretty high likelihood that those rocks are not going to tumble well. The nat geo tumbler just sets you up for a bad result (mixed hardness of rocks, super bad grit quality, too few rocks etc). So if you don't like what you get - that's okay! I'd encourage you to pick up some rocks that are hard and shiney (jasper and quartz are pretty much everywhere and great!), then look up some basic tips/tricks, buy some get some really good grit, and you'll be amazed at how much better they turn out!

Please refrain from taking anything from beaches :( collecting rocks, shells, sand, or anything disrupts the ecosystem and in time can have a lot more impact than it looks like

Hey, quick heads up! I have this same tumbler but wasn't having much success with the polishing grit it came with, so I tried polly plastics polishing grit. And it worked so much better. I still have to perfect how long I keep my rocks tumbling, but it made such a big difference when I switched the polishing medium.

I'm kinda surprised you didn't try growing your own rocks

I also put the rocks I've collected on the beach into my plant pots for decoration

you can't turn a rock into a crystal 😭😭 if it's rock, it's rock, if it isn't crystal, it won't become one-

No, because its illegal to collect rocks/stones from the beaches in UK.

I Absolutely make it a point to block content/creators that take you to end of a process and then you get “like and follow for part two” …
